farewell to zone!
this is a very sad day for us. we have to resign our positions as zone directors and leave the clan. this was not an easy decision to make. we feel that zone is moving in a direction that we are not comfortable with and see no way of changing that.
we had talked about just leaving and going our separate ways, perhap joining other clans or staying freelance for a while. but we realized that we have a responsibility to any other members in zone that feel as we do. so we will be starting a new clan that will hopefully be more aligned with our values. this is not the place to discuss those details, but they will be forthcoming shortly.
we apologize for disappointing you and hope that you remember our all too short time with zone fondly.

when i first came to the realization that resignation was the only solution to what i perceived as problems with zone, i had every intention of writing a fire and brimstone, come to jesus indictment of the people i felt responsible. but now that it's time to put those words down, i don't have it in me. zone has been so important to me and i have made so many friends that now all i want to do is apologize for letting you down. i made so many commitments to so many people and i'm not able to keep them. it tears me up to quit but i don't see any other option. to all my friends in zone, i wish you all well.

I regret that it has come down to this, but feel there is little that can be done. As many of you know, I have worked hard to help Zone and Zone members, and to create a sense of community. I'm sorry to be leaving that behind; but, at this point, leaving is the only option.

Since I first became involved as a Director, my intentions have always been for the good of ZoNe. I had hopes that working with the other Directors, that together we could bring about positive changes that would make our gaming experience more pleasurable and bring us closer as a clan. This no longer seems possible. ZoNe continues to move in a direction that I’m no longer comfortable with nor wish to be part of. Discussion of any of those issues is not appropriate at this point and serves no ones best interests. If anyone has any questions, feel free to comment here or DM me personally.
The decision to resign has proven to be very difficult and one I never thought I'd have to make nor would make. I'm saddened and heartbroken beyond measure for being unable to honor commitments that I made to friends and members here. Unfortunately, I don’t see any other viable option.
To my friends and to all members of ZoNe, please accept my sincerest apologies. I wish you all Peace, Joy, Love, Happiness and many Blessings now and in the future.

I am honored to be a part of Zone I look forward to playing under the watchful eye of our Commander In Chief Paul Aka Pod, a roll Paul should have had a long time ago, he truly is the "Rainmaker". We are all honorable, sometimes some of us especially the younger ones forget there is always two sides to every story ,we should always hear both sides and not be flippantly dismissive of others and their plight, as we all grow and mature we realise that none of us are infalliable and we all make mistakes. Some more than others! The most important thing is to remember it is a game and in real life people do have real lives that are sometimes in turmoil, having a friendly happy atmosphere to play in will always be conducive to a better game. I hope everyone in SM will follow and adopt the philosophies that we hope to imbue into Zone over the next few upcoming weeks. Thank you Paul for allowing us to help you in the restructuring of Zone.
We will do our utmost to help in anyway we can.

Yes there are always two sides to a story. Rather than just make the comment people should remember to put it into action, as actions do speak louder than words. I find it interesting that this post was chosen to make comments on the future of Zone, while it was intended to be a farewell post, since our previous post was deleted from Zone... for no real apparent reason.
This is a game and perpetuating negativity will do no one any good. So I stop there. I wish the members of Zone well, just remember to keep your boots on.... :) for reasons that if not already apparent will become more so as time passes.
Mk, you know we love you and agree with Hyprnova, isn't it time to spread the wings, kitty? LOL Hey congrats to you. :) I am happy that you are, no matter what cell you play for.

I agree. The original farewell post was deleted because it included some "recruitment stuff" by me in it. Yet, here we are, again.. in our farewell post and its being filled with Zone propaganda. Now, seriously, how the hell is that fair? We'll keep our crap on our forums, perhaps ya'll could do the same?
Don't take it personally, but really, this is kind of hypocritical of you guys.

I didn't leave a mess. My affairs were in order and because you choose to lie and perpetuate the lies is your karma.The day I resigned is the day I stopped working on the zonecommand twitter account. I have chats and pics to back me up. :) And the ones with you going off and threatening members.Including the meeting that Pod had you call without any other Director present, the last one I cared to attend. The one where I made a copy of the chat log, only to be questioned by NIki for doing it? (Because Jon and Bob weren't there) I am very organized. You are a very angry man. Peace. Waste your energy and time. Perhaps I will make the boards as Most killed. LOLOL doesn't bother me in the least. :)

pod, again, great words but i think it's all time for all of us to take them to heart. i think the cell leaders, as prominent players in spymaster, need to set a good example. especially with regards to #2 in zone's code of conduct. i also hope that the cell leaders will convey to their members how important #2 is so we can bring civility back to the game and make it a comfortable place for all players.

Bob, I agree with you but at some point I will speak up for myself and have. I spent hours in the zonecommand twitter acct daily. Had others had their way it would've been a debacle. The only changes would've been the new ones that were waiting to come in and those of us who left. That is fact. Those who are angry for no apparent reason, other than the loss of the support of Zombie Assassin and OP the Creator and former Director of ZoNe, should just let it go as we tried to do. But then aits does love drama. As I have said the truth wills out and it is trickling out now.
Bob, You won the bet... where do I send the pictures? LOLOL
